The Columbia African American Association (CAAA) is committed to the development of America's youth, specifically targeting African American students living in the Columbia, Missouri area.


What We Do

The CAAA has established a scholarship fund to assist talented young African Americans in their pursuit of higher education. The CAAA Memorial Scholarship Fund will be presented to one student from each high school in Columbia (Douglass, Hickman and Rock Bridge) in honor of former Columbia African American high school students who are now deceased.

 

How to Apply

1.  The scholarship is open to any high school, home school or GED graduate planning to pursue a college education in the fall of 2010.


2.  All applicants must possess/maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5 (cumulative)


3.  All applicants must demonstrate intent/application to attend an accredited college or university for 2010 fall semester


4.  All applicants must complete and submit application packet no later than April10, 2010 (see below).

Packet must include:

·Scholarship application

· Written essay

· Official Academic transcript

· Two (2) letters of recommendation
